PHILADELPHIA, September 30, 2014: Morgan Lewis has been named to the elite Complex Employment Litigation "Powerhouse" list and to the Class Actions and Torts Litigation "Powerhouse" list in BTI Consulting Group's Litigation Outlook Report 2015. Morgan Lewis was one of just five firms selected for the Complex Employment Litigation list, and among only three firms named Class Action and Torts Powerhouses.

Morgan Lewis was also recognized as a "Standout" firm for Routine Employment Litigation and named to the "Honor Roll" for IP Litigation and Securities and Finance Litigation. Additionally, the firm was named to the Honor Roll on BTI's overall list of Most Feared Litigation Firms.

BTI is a leading provider of strategic market research to law firms and professional services firms. The Litigation Powerhouse selections are based on 300 one-on-one interviews conducted by BTI with corporate counsel from Fortune 1000 companies across 15 industries. The firms named to this select list are those that clients consider best suited to help them in the designated practice areas.

Litigation Powerhouses “have positioned themselves with the world’s most demanding companies as the ones who have the particular expertise and client-facing skills to get the job done,” the BTI report explained.

“Our BTI results are an important gauge of how successfully we are responding to the needs of our clients,” said Firm Chair Francis M. Milone. “It is gratifying to know that the efforts we make day-in and day-out to incorporate service into all aspects of our work are being recognized by our clients and that they have ranked us in the topmost echelons of law firms.”

“Corporate Counsel report increased forward-looking thinking and client engagement as the driver for Morgan Lewis’s Powerhouse rankings in both Class Actions and Complex Litigation,” said Michael B. Rynowecer, president of The BTI Consulting Group. “CLOs sense increased firm-wide commitment to protect their clients’ interests,” added Mr. Rynowecer, “helping Morgan Lewis secure a coveted spot as one of the most feared litigation opponents.”

BTI’s 2014 Litigation Outlook singled out Morgan Lewis’s Litigation Practice as one of the top four firms that companies turn to for class action litigation and mass torts. That report also designated Morgan Lewis a “powerhouse” in employment litigation and one of the top five firms that in-house counsel turn to for complex employment litigation. BTI has previously ranked Morgan Lewis highly in numerous other categories. Earlier this year, Morgan Lewis was named one of the top ten best branded law firms serving large clients. BTI also gave Morgan Lewis a number two ranking out of 650 firms serving large clients on the consulting group’s Client Relationship Scorecard. In February 2014, Morgan Lewis became the first law firm in BTI’s 13-year history to place 10 lawyers on its Client Services All-Stars list in a single year.
