HONG KONG, March 14, 2024: Morgan Lewis has been named winner of the Asian Pro Bono Initiative of the Year category at Law.com International’s Asia Legal Awards 2024. The annual awards recognize outstanding legal work in Asia.
In 2023, Morgan Lewis marked the sixth consecutive year that 100% of global lawyers met or exceeded the firm’s goal of devoting at least 20 billable hours to pro bono activity. Lawyers in the firm’s Hong Kong office alone advised more than 30 charities, non-profits, social enterprises, and individuals on a pro bono basis. This honor follows recognition earlier this year of Morgan Lewis’s pro bono work from the Law Society of Hong Kong.
In addition, the firm was a finalist in the Restructuring and Insolvency Matter of the Year category for work on Zipmex Group's restructuring, and partner Lesli Ligorner was a finalist for Employment Lawyer of the Year for her work in handling significant employment matters.
