Cynthia Pantazis is a Principal at Bingham Consulting Group. She has nearly 20 years of federal and state government affairs experience representing corporate and public sector interests before Congress, the White House and federal and state regulators. She counsels leading Internet and high technology companies facing multistate demands to regulate business through legislation, regulation and litigation. She focuses on matters related to online safety, privacy, data breach and competition.
Cynthia has developed and executed solutions across a diverse range of public policy matters including: information technology, competitiveness, tax, workforce development and labor markets, and the environment. For 10 years, Cynthia served as the director of policy and public leadership for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), an association representing the interests of corporate executives. She served as the principal political strategist and spokesperson. Cynthia created and implemented advocacy and media campaigns for a coalition of Fortune 50 companies representing high tech, pharmaceutical, banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, and energy industries. She successfully mobilized grassroots programs that leveraged 140 local chapters across 50 states.
Before joining ASTD, Cynthia served as director of federal affairs for the National Association of Towns and Townships, the nation’s largest local government organization. She was responsible for federal and state environmental legislative and regulatory matters under CERCLA, Safe Drinking Water Act, Clean Water Act and RCRA.
Cynthia has written and spoken widely on competitiveness and technology, issues facing the nonprofit sector including accountability and governance, advocacy and environmental cleanup. In addition, she has held leadership positions with the American Society of Association Executives Government Relations Council and Women in Government Relations.
