When prosecutors threaten to bring criminal charges arising out of alleged environmental violations, the
White Collar group collaborates with colleagues in our
Environmental practice. Together, they have represented clients in both
civil and criminal environmental enforcement actions at all levels, including before administrative agencies, district and city attorneys, State Attorneys General, grand juries and the United States Department of Justice. Many of our lawyers have strong backgrounds in civil and criminal environmental litigation in federal and state courts, including in cases alleging serious injuries and deaths. Past work has included successfully defending both corporations and individuals charged with numerous criminal violations of local, state and federal environmental laws.
