His transactional practice emphasizes public offerings and private placements of securities as well as mergers and acquisitions. His securitization transactional experience includes innovative structures, such as the first automobile lease securitizations. He also has a broad background in other types of transactions, including partnerships and joint ventures, venture capital financings, commercial credit and liquidity facilities, equity-based compensation plans, and commercial contracts of a variety of types. He has represented clients in a wide array of industries, from banking, energy, airline and agriculture to software, telecommunications and biotechnology.
At the University of Texas School of Law, Charlie was a member of the Order of the Coif, a member of the Chancellors (the school’s highest honorary organization) and an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
