Chip Fisher is head of the firm’s Institutional Finance Group. His practice is focused on the representation of institutional purchasers of privately placed debt and equity securities, project financing, secured and unsecured lending transactions, and mezzanine and other subordinated debt and equity investments.

Experience

  • Icelandic Banks (Kaupthing, Landsbanki and Glitnir) — Advising the worldwide bondholder group in respect of the nationalization and financial restructuring of three major Icelandic banks — Kaupthing, Landsbanki and Glitnir — and participating on the informal creditors committee of each of the three banks
  • Legend Group — Counsel to institutional investors in a $160 million private placement of senior notes issued by an investment company with interests in computer manufacturing, Internet services and startup companies in China
  • Corio N.V. — Counsel to institutional investors in a $1.215 billion private placement of senior guaranteed notes issued by a Dutch property company with guarantees from continental European subsidiaries
  • Mars — Counsel to institutional investors in a $1.5 billion private placement of senior notes issued in connection with the acquisition of Wrigley by Mars
  • Heineken — Counsel to institutional investors in a $500 million private placement of senior notes issued in connection with the acquisition of Scottish & Newcastle by Heineken
  • Hardwood Funding — Counsel to institutional investors in connection with a proposed $210 million private placement of senior notes to be issued by one of the funding entities of the National Basketball Association
