Matthew J. Cursio


Matthew Cursio focuses his practice on cross-border insolvency matters and both bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation. Matt represents financial institutions, institutional lenders and noteholder groups.

Matt is also very active in Bingham’s pro bono program and is a member of the board of directors for the non-profit organization Start Small, Think Big. Inc.

Before entering the legal field, Matt was a Naval Flight Officer in the U.S. Navy. During law school, Matt interned for the Hon. Stuart M. Bernstein, then Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York, and the Hon. Jean K. FitzSimon, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
