Jack Concannon is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, where he concentrates on general corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, public offerings, joint ventures, sports franchises, and licensing. He is also a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. He provides counseling to privately held as well as public companies in connection with corporate governance, federal securities laws, NASDAQ and NYSE rules, public offerings, and SEC filings.

Jack has over 20 years of experience and has been involved in more than 300 financings, mergers and acquisitions. Examples of Jack’s recent transactions include venture capital and angel financings, public offerings such as IPOs, registered direct offerings, PIPE offerings, debt offerings, mergers of public and private companies, tender offers, acquisitions of foreign companies, licensing and distribution arrangements, joint ventures, international financings, negotiation of executive employment agreements representing special committees of boards, and corporate governance counseling. He represents clients from emerging growth companies to global corporations in a variety of industries.

Notable transactions include the representation of Tom Gores in his purchase of the Detroit Pistons, the sale of Kopin Corporation's III-V division (NASDAQ: KOPN), Stephen Ross in his purchase of the Miami Dolphins for $1.1 billion and the representation of Biomatrix Inc. in its sale to Genzyme for $700 million. Jack represented the Boston Red Sox for more than a decade, including its sale for $700 million (named by the American Lawyer as the “Deal of the Year”).

Jack has significant experience with technology and life sciences companies and transactions and he also has represented various clients in their pursuit of purchasing sports franchises in the National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, Arena Football and Minor League Baseball.

He is frequently invited to speak on numerous topics, including securities laws, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and public and private equity and debt financing.
