Edward Andrews represents clients in complex commercial disputes in state and federal court. As part of his practice, he drafts pleadings and motions, argues motions and otherwise appears in state and federal court, handles discovery, including e-discovery issues, takes depositions, and handles mediations and arbitrations on behalf of clients. His practice focuses on insurance litigation, securities litigation, and real estate litigation.
Ted’s insurance litigation practice includes coverage disputes regarding securities class actions, construction defect litigation, qui tam actions, derivative actions, advertising injury and other claims. He has litigated coverage issues under directors and officers (D&O) policies, commercial general liability (CGL) policies, professional liability policies, and other insurance policies.
His securities litigation practice includes defending auditors and accountants as well as handling litigation involving real estate-backed securities, such as residential-mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and tenant-in-common (TIC) interests.
His real estate litigation practice includes commercial lease disputes and real estate investment trust (REIT) litigation.
Ted is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and co-chairs the Young Lawyers Division of the ABTL’s Los Angeles chapter. He is involved in the alumni associations for St. Mark’s School, Harvard University and UCLA School of Law. He is the firm’s representative for the UCLA Law Firm Challenge.
