Financial Restructuring
Our financial restructuring group has a wealth of experience in all forms of financial restructuring and distressed investment, as well as insolvency advisory and insolvency-related litigation services. The group represents bondholder and noteholder committees in bond, CMBS and sovereign debt restructurings and advises lenders and investors in single-credit restructurings and workouts. Our lawyers also advise investors in all aspects of their distressed private equity and M&A transactions, as well as in NPL and distressed real estate portfolio transactions. Our German restructuring lawyers are an integral part of the firm’s global financial restructuring practice, which also operates out of London and key financial centers in the U.S. and Asia. The majority of the matters on which we advise are multijurisdictional, and we have the ability to provide global teams to help achieve results for our clients.
Corporate
Our corporate practice advises companies, financial institutions and institutional investors in all aspects of public and private M&A, private equity, co-operations, and joint ventures. Our corporate lawyers also have extensive experience in representing the interests of institutional investors in contested takeover transactions, reorganizations, and proxy contests both in and outside of court.
Finance
Our finance practice advises on a broad range of issues, including banking, structured finance, and derivatives transactions. Our finance lawyers are closely integrated with our financial restructuring practice and act on a wide range of refinancings and rescue financings.
Regulatory
Our regulatory lawyers advise issuers, shareholders and bondholders alike in all aspects of securities trading issues, including trading restrictions and 13G/13D type disclosures, as well as takeover laws. Our lawyers also advise on all aspects of banking, insurance and fund regulation, securities and partnership interest offerings and registration requirements, and private placements in Germany and the CEE.
