December 2010 — Partners
Jordan Hershman, co-chair of Bingham’s Securities Litigation Group, and
Jason Frank obtained the dismissal of all claims asserted in a putative class action against Kopin Corporation and its directors and senior officers predicated on allegations of stock-option backdating. The plaintiff sought to obtain an order voiding all the stock options Kopin granted, i.e., more than 11 million stock options, in the nine-year period between 1997 and 2006. In granting Bingham’s motion to dismiss all claims, the court adopted Bingham’s arguments and expressly incorporated by reference into its opinion entire sections of the firm’s briefing. Joining Hershman and Frank on the Kopin team were counsel
Bill Harb; associates
Francesca Miceli,
Doreen Rachal and
Alison Eggers;
Nicole Burhoe, paralegal specialist;
Brenda Kelly, securities litigation administrative coordinator; and
Nicole MacLean Manco, legal secretary.
