Bingham Represents E Ink in $215M Deal

AmLaw Daily, June 9, 2009 — A team of Bingham lawyers represented E Ink Corporation in connection with its agreement to be acquired by Taiwan-based Prime View International for approximately $215 million, reports AmLaw Daily. Prime View is a public company traded on the Taiwanese stock exchange. E Ink, headquartered in Cambridge, Mass., is a developer of the technology that is the basis for the print and screens used in the e-book industry. Prime View, using E Ink technology, supplies the hardware for the Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader and many other digital book devices. The transaction is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval. Partners Larry Silverstein and Julio Vega led the legal team for E Ink. They were joined by partner Russ Isaia, of counsel Edward Kirsch and senior paralegal Kathrine LeBlanc.
