J.R. Scherr is a trial attorney and civil litigator who represents companies in complex commercial and intellectual property matters in private party and class action litigation. J.R.’s practice focuses on trademark, licensing, franchise and trade regulation issues, including Internet-based disputes and business torts. He is an experienced advocate for clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts across the country, as well as significant matters in mediation and arbitration.

  • Successfully litigated defamation and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act claims over commercial use of stealth Internet proxy services
  • Represented large telecommunications provider in federal court litigation involving Voice-over-Internet (VoIP) and allegations of “stealth” services in wireless telecommunications
