Ross E. Campbell co-chairs the firm’s Healthcare Industry Group. His practice focuses on a variety of issues within administrative litigation for healthcare institutions, including matters related to medical staffs (general advice, disciplinary proceedings, litigation), consent and medical record issues, psychiatric care, and related matters.
Ross gained extensive experience in dealing with academic medical centers during his seven years of work at Stanford University from 1977 to 1984. From 1981 to 1984, he served as managing attorney for medical affairs at that university. He has worked with many of the private and public teaching centers in California in faculty plan practice organization, medical staff and housestaff matters, affiliation agreements, and reimbursement issues in the teaching setting. His practice also includes Medicare reimbursement (including fraud and abuse issues), physician contracting and general corporate healthcare law.
Ross’s healthcare clients include Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan, Catholic Healthcare West, the Daughters of Charity Health System, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Little Company of Mary/Providence Health System, HCA — the Healthcare Company, Shriners Hospitals for Children, The Permanente Medical Group, and El Camino Hospital.
