Susan Kim represents corporate and institutional clients in high-stakes litigation, complex financial and regulatory matters, governmental investigations, insurance and reinsurance disputes, and in Chapter 11 cases. Susan has represented clients in federal and state courts as well as in arbitrations and other proceedings. Susan has worked on seminal appeals in the United States Supreme Court as well as cases in the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits. Susan has also participated in cases of first impression in appeals to the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts.

The Connecticut Law Tribune named her both one of Connecticut’s “New Leaders of the Law” and one of Connecticut’s high-achieving women in law. She was also nominated to become a member of the prestigious American Bar Foundation. Susan has conducted seminars for MBA students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and participated in a panel presentation for the AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society. She co-authored “Using Pre-Arbitration Forum Contacts In Determining Long-Arm Jurisdiction in Post-Arbitration” (International Litigation Quarterly, 2006), “The Extraterritorial Reach of the United States Automatic Stay” (National Creditor Debtor Review, March 2003) and “Fraudulent Transfers by a Parent-Debtor to Its Subsidiary” (International Law Office-Legal Newsletter, February 2002).

While in law school, she served as an intern at the United States Department of Justice. She was also executive editor of The Digest, a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and a board member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
