For experienced lawyers, a move to Bingham just makes sense. The quality of our work and the stature of our clients are the equal of any major London firm, but the atmosphere of our office is entrepreneurial, non-hierarchical and collegial. Our teams are small, the level of responsiveness is high, and lawyers at all levels are encouraged to assume responsibilities commensurate with their skills. You can expect a significant amount of client contact, as well as contact with opposing and counterparty lawyers.
A Career Here
Our London office is the headquarters of a high-profile and growing European practice serving international financial institution clients. Already known for innovative representation in high-profile financial restructuring cases — Concordia Bus, Damovo, Elektrim, Marconi, Parmalat, Queens Moat Houses, Sea Containers and TMD Friction among many others — we seek to build on our reputation and credibility in this area by expanding our capabilities in front-end financings, corporate, litigation and financial regulatory.
Because the matters we deal with are broad and complex, you are likely to have the opportunity to explore as well as observe legal disciplines beyond your area of focus. We view the development of our lawyers and the growth of our overall practice as two sides of the same coin. Bingham is building significant momentum, and the European practice is an important and strategic target for future growth. If you seek to practice in a setting with more extensive professional challenges and opportunities, we invite you to contact us.
Application Process
We are currently seeking lawyers to fill positions in several practice areas. If you are interested in working with us, please contact Vicky Anderson, Human Resources Manager, at vicky.anderson@bingham.com or +44.20.7661.5360.
The typical lateral hiring process includes an initial interview with the recruiting representative and one of the partners from your practice area of interest. Promising candidates are invited back for a full round of interviews, which include a variety of partners and associates from your chosen practice group.
Please be prepared to provide an academic transcript and writing sample. All offers are contingent upon a conflict check and a reference check.
